More than 500 children came out on Saturday for the first soccer games at the new YMCA Andover Sports Complex.Ground was broken on the new sports complex in November 2014 and Saturday kicked off soccer and flag football games on two high school-sized fields converted to up to 16 youth-sized fields. The North YMCA, 3330 N. Woodlawn, will closed Friday the 3rd, Saturday the 4th, and Sunday the 5th due to power outages and in support of community safety efforts to keep traffic away from dangerous roadways caused by downed power lines. All North YMCA youth sports, group exercise and instructional classes have been canceled for this location.
