Shane, an Estherville, IA, native and graduate of the University of Northern Iowa, began his YMCA career with the Heritage YMCA Group in Naperville, IL. While at Heritage YMCA Group, Shane held the positions of Program Director, Director of Childcare, Family and Outreach, and Operations Director. He became Branch Director of the Andover YMCA in 2013.



Alisha is a Wichita native and received a Bachelor’s in Exercise Science from Wichita State University. She began working at the South YMCA in college and has worked as membership associate, manager on duty and fitness. She took time off from the Y to work as Wellness Coordinator at Breakthrough, a mental health organization, and served as an English teacher for a year in South Korea. She joined the West YMCA when she returned. Alisha is certified in Strength & Conditioning through the YMCA, CPR, AED, First Aid, O2, and TESOL. 

Jennifer is a native of Andover and a Butler Community College graduate and is currently working on her Bachelor's Degree in Non-Profit Organization Leadership from Fort Hays State University. She has been a community volunteer for many years dedicating her time to organizations such as Girl Scouts, Tornado Alley Young Marines, and Andover Public Schools. 

Levi is an Andover native and received a Bachelor's in Exercise Science from Wichita State University in 2012. He began his career with the YMCA right out of college as a personal trainer at the North YMCA. In 2013, he began training at the Andover YMCA and also passed his ACSM exam to become a Certified Exercise Physiologist. Levi has many specialties when it comes to personal training, they include youth fitness, weightloss, active older adults, sport specific training, and strength and conditioning. He accepted the position of Fitness Director at the Andover YMCA in April 2016 and is also certified in CPR, First Aid, AED, and O2. 

Since 1998, Shannon has coached gymnastics at the El Dorado and Northwest YMCAs. Before joining the Andover YMCA team, she had gymnasts medal at local, state, and national competitions. Shannon holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts from Wichita State University. She also has certifications in Personal Training, USAG Safety, CPR, AED, First Aid, and O2.

Matt received his Bachelor's in Recreation from Emporia State University.  He has worked for the Greater Wichita YMCA for 5 years having started at the South Branch as a Manager on Duty.  Most recently, Matt was the Sports Director for both the West and Downtown Branches.

Kristen holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from Pittsburg State University. She began her Y career in Nebraska before moving to Andover in 2007. Kristen holds certifications in Foundations of Group Exercise, Cardio and Step, Pilates, Personal Training, Reebok Cycling, Muscle Pump, Body Design, Ultimate Strength and Cardio, Gliding, Foam Roller Fusion, Silver Sneakers and Johnny G Spinning. She is also certified in CPR, AED and First Aid.

Amy Hill has been a Youth and Family Coordinator with the Greater Wichita YMCA since April 2006. She has a B.S. from Wichita State University and oversees the Kid Zone, Birthday Party coordination, and Mom’s Day Out at the Andover YMCA.

Megan began her Y career as a swim instructor, lifeguard, and lifeguard trainer in August 2010 at the Downtown YMCA.  She also gained experience in member service, kid zone, and youth & family programs while working at the Downtown Y.  In February of 2014 she accepted the roll of Aquatics Director for the Downtown branch. In August 2015, Megan transferred to the Andover YMCA as Aquatics Director. Megan spent her childhood around aquatic environments and started helping with swim lessons and jr lifeguarding when she was a teenager. Megan earned her Bachelor's in Business Entrepreneurship from Sterling College.

Al’s years of aquatic experience includes coaching student-athletes of all levels, including younger age groups, NCAA Division III All-Americans, and USA Paralympians.  His coaching accomplishments include being a multiple finalist and winner of Oregon Coach of the Year, and three-time Northwest Conference Coach of the Year while at Willamette University.

Alexa began working for the Andover YMCA  in 2011 as a group exercise instructor and became the Cheer and Dance Coordinator in 2013. Her dance and cheer exerperience includes 11 years of competitive dance participation and 3 years of cheer and dance at the collegiate level. She is currently working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from Wichita State University. Alexa has certifications in CPR, AED, First Aid, and Zumba.

Certifications: ACSM  EP-C, ACSM CPT YMCA Personal Trainer, and Pilates

Specialties: Active Older Adults, Special Populations, Weight Loss, and Pre and Post Natal

Fitness Mission Statement: “Everyone measures progress differently, and my goal is to do whatever I can to help someone see progress based on how they measure it. That can be general health, weight loss, injury rehab, disease control or prevention, or anything that makes them feel better physically and mentally. The biggest reward of my job is helping someone increase his/her quality of life.”

Specialities:  Strength Training, Sports Performance, Weight Loss, Youth Fitness, Balance and Coordination

Fitness Mission Statement: "It is my passion to use my knowledge and skills to teach others the benefit of exercising and developing an active lifestyle. Nothing is more rewarding to me than seeing someone who really has the desire to change and watching them improve and achieve their individual goals. It is not only my job, but it is my pleasure, to assist others to become healthier and happier and feel accomplished."

Specialties: Strength training, Injury Rehab, Mass Building for Women, Weight Loss, Toning, Stretching & Flexibility and Sports Performance

Fitness Mission Statement: "Many people like myself measure their happiness through the goals that they achieve. Meeting those goals whether they are life goals, professional goals, or health and fitness goals, can be hard to do alone. My mission is to partner with people to help reach their goals no matter how big they are, being there for them every step of the way. Because of my experience, I am able to be an advocate for a healthy lifestyle as well as guide individuals to meet their personal goals which will lead to a happier, healthier life!"

First, to share what I've learned in those 40-plus years with anyone interested in improving their own strength and/or overall health. Second, to learn all I can that will help me to do a better and more thorough job in pursuit of that first goal. If I've learned anything at all it is that there is no end to what can be learned in this field."
