Casey has been with the Greater Wichita YMCA since 2008. He has worked in multiple departments and levels throughout the Greater Wichita YMCA prior to becoming the Branch Director at the Northwest YMCA. Casey received a Bachelor’s Degree from Fort Hays State University in Health and Human Performance. He is also an ACSM certified Health Fitness Specialist.

Jacob started his career at the YMCA in 2011 as a part-time lifeguard at the Northwest branch after moving to Wichita from Southwest Kansas to finish his degree in Exercise Science at Wichita State University. During his career with the Y he has also taught swim lessons and worked at the Climbing Wall. In late 2012 he moved to the Membership Desk were he has worked under a multitude of titles until becoming Membership Director in May of 2015.  

Benjamin started his career in the Greater Wichita YMCA in June of 2015.  He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Family Studies and Human Services from Kansas State University.  His position as Assistant Membership Director allows him to use his passion for individuals and relationships to impact the lives of those around him.

Beth has been a Lifeguard for 30 years and has been a Lifeguard Trainer for the past 25 years.  She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Management from Virginia Intermont College in Bristol, Virginia.  Beth was the Aquatic Director at the Jewish Community Center in Cincinnati before moving to Wichita.  She taught the lifeguard training class at the South Y, as well as swim lessons and arthritis water classes.  She became the Aquatic Coordinator at the West Y, before again moving to Augusta Georgia where she continued to teach lifeguarding and coach swim team.  Her last move was back to Wichita, where she has been training lifeguards, as well as certifying people in CPR, AED, O2 and First Aid.  

Jeannie’s passion for group exercise started as a Y member in 1987. Three years later, she began teaching classes, and has taught at the West, South, Downtown and Northwest YMCAs since then. Jeannie teaches a wide variety of group exercise classes and holds certifications in Water Fitness, Step, Turbo Kick, Martial Arts, ZUMBA, Cycle, Pilates, CPR, AED, First Aid and O2.

 Hydi grew up in Jackson, Missouri where she began dancing at the age of three. She has studied various forms of dance including: ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, pointe, modern, lyrical, and musical theatre. Hydi started competing at the age of ten, both regionally and nationally. She received numerous national titles and accolades. Hydi attended many ballet intensives every summer and was selected to be a member of State Ballet in Missouri. She performed in many performances of “The Nutcracker” throughout her dancing years and got to perform with many prestigious ballet companies. After high school, she attended Lindenwood University and was a dance major. While at Lindenwood, her choreography was showcased in the universities dance concerts. Hydi was also on her high school cheer squad all 4 years and was named captain her senior year. She was selected for the All-American award through NCA all 4 years of high school. She has choreographed many routines for her school’s cheer team and dance team. Hydi was also the choreographer for many area high school musicals including: Annie, The Music Man, 42nd Street, and The Wizard of Oz. Hydi has been with the Northwest YMCA since 2007. In 2008, Hydi began the competitive dance team, Limelight Dance Company, and the competitive cheer team, Storm Cheer. She has coached these teams with great success. Both teams have won numerous National titles and judge’s awards. Hydi has two sons, Tristan (5) and Tobin (1).

Nicole graduated from East High and Newman University. She is a Professional Member of USA Gymnastics and has a Safety Certification through USAG. She has a degree in Occupational Therapy with specializing in pediatrics. Nicole has been a part of the NW YMCA since 2007 and has coached competitive gymnastics since 2008. 

Candace joined the Northwest YMCA Neptunes staff after most recently coaching at the Masters level. As a swimmer, Candace qualified for Junior Nationals at age 12, was a Junior National Long Course Champion, a Senior National qualifier and an Olympic Trials qualifier. In college, she was Captain of her swim team and an Academic All-American. Candace holds a BS in Exercise Science and Sports Studies from Arizona State University.

Kayson Graduated from Wichita State University in 2014 with a BA in Sports Management. While at Wichita State Kayson ran Cross country and Track for the Shockers and was Head of Communication for the sports management program. Kayson graduated high school at Lakin High in Lakin KS, where he was the Senior Class president and won multiple 3A state championships in cross country and track. Kayson started his YMCA career at the Andover Location in Membership Services.

Matt graduated cum laude from Wichita State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science. At Wichita State, Matt competed on the Track and Field team for 4 years. Matt started as a part time personal trainer at the Andover Branch YMCA. He then got bumped up to full time with an emphasis on group training and bootcamp. After 2 years at Andover, he received a promotion and became the Fitness Director at the Northwest Branch. His certifications include: ACSM-HFS, YMCA personal trainer, CPR/AED, First Aid and Oxygen.

Tina joined the Northwest YMCA fitness staff in November of 2013 as the Fitness Service Associate. She previously worked for the Northwest YMCA in the aquatics department as a lead guard and swimming coach for 4 years and now serves as our Youth Wellness Coordinator and Assistant Fitness Director. She holds certifications in CPR/AED and is a certified YMCA personal trainer.  

Holly graduated Sum Cum Laude from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor's degree in Community Health Education with emphasis in program management and development. She has helped develop many youth programs and worked with children around the world before coming to Wichita, Kansas. Holly started with the Greater Wichita YMCA as a healthy eating instructor with Community Development and now works with the Kid Zone, birthday parties and Mom's Day Out program. She is certified in CPR and First Aid.

Lauren Minton competed in gymnastics for 7 years and competed up to level 8. She started teaching classes at the Northwest YMCA when she turned 16 in 2007 and started coaching team in 2012. She graduated from Goddard High School in 2010 and from Barton Community College in 2012 with an Associate degree in liberal studies. She is currently working on a Bachelor’s degree at Wichita State University.

Emily began dancing when she was three years old. She has studied acro, ballet, contemporary, hip hop, jazz, lyrical, modern, musical theatre, pointe, and tap. Emily competed both regionally and nationally for 11 years. She attended Maize South High School where she was a member of her dance team her senior year and she also received the All American Award at UDA camp. Emily choreographed many routines for this team. After graduation, she went to Barton Community College in Great Bend, Kansas where she was also a member of the dance team for two years. While on the Barton dance team, Emily had the privilege to be a part of their nationals team; they competed at the NDA Collegiate Nationals in Daytona Beach, Florida. Emily graduated from Barton in 2014 with an Associate’s Degree in Science. Once she moved back to Wichita, she became a dance instructor for the YMCA. Emily has been teaching dance for 5 years. Last year, Emily became an assistant coach for Limelight Dance Company. Emily was promoted to Dance and Cheer Coordinator in October of 2014.
