Shane is an Estherville, IA native.  He holds a degree in Mathematics Education from the University of Northern Iowa.  Shane began his YMCA experience during college at the YMCA of Blackhawk County where he worked as camp counselor, lifeguard, fitness, childcare programs, sports and membership.  He began his career with the Heritage YMCA Group in Naperville, IL as Program Director working mainly with children programs throughout the community.  Shane moved in to the role of Director of Childcare, Family and Community Outreach managing programs within the Naperville community as well as with the Oswego YMCA.   He held the role of Operations Director at a community outreach branch and membership branch before moving in to his current role at Andover.  Shane is married to Nicole and they have a 5 year old daughter, Ava, and recently welcomed Ayden to their family. 



Alisha is a Wichita native and received a Bachelor’s in Exercise Science from Wichita State University. She began working at the South YMCA in 2006 and has worked as membership associate, manager on duty and in fitness. She took time off from the Y to work as Wellness Coordinator at Breakthrough, a mental health organization, and served as an English teacher for a year in South Korea. She joined the West YMCA in membership and fitness when she returned to Wichita. She joined the Andover team in 2014 as Membership Director, and gladly accepted her new role in fall of 2016.  

Bryan grew up in Blytheville, Arkansas. He graduated from Arkansas State University with a degree in Physical Education – Exercise Science. He has over 14 years’ experience with 4 different YMCA associations. He was the Program Director for Blytheville Regional YMCA, Program Director/Associate Executive Director for YMCA of Memphis and the Mid-South, and Senior Program Director for Twin Lakes Family YMCA in Texas. He has worked with all ages in programs such as sports, fitness, gymnastics, aquatics, membership, after school and summer camps. He has also helped run the daily operations of the branches. Outside of the YMCA, he has management experience from Royal Caribbean cruises, 20 years’ experience in HVAC and electrical work, 12 years’ experience as a volunteer firefighter, and most recently served as an EMT for 5 years. Bryan has two beautiful daughters, ages 14 and 8, living in Arkansas. 

Jennifer is a native of Andover and a Butler County Community College graduate. She is currently working on her Bachelor’s Degree in Non-Profit Organization Leadership from Fort Hays State University. She began her career with the Y in membership in 2014, and started her current role at the beginning of 2016. She has been a community volunteer for many years, dedicating her time to organizations such as Girl Scouts, Tornado Alley Young Marines, and Andover Public Schools. Jennifer is married and has for children ages 20, 18, and two 15 year olds. 

Levi is an Andover native and received a Bachelor's in Exercise Science from Wichita State University in 2012. He began his career with the YMCA right out of college as a personal trainer at the North YMCA. In 2013, he began training at the Andover YMCA and also passed his ACSM exam to become a Certified Exercise Physiologist. Levi has many specialties when it comes to personal training, they include youth fitness, weight loss, active older adults, sport specific training, and strength and conditioning. He accepted the position of Fitness Director at the Andover YMCA in April 2016 and is also certified in CPR, First Aid, AED, and 02. 


Shannon Mallinson has been a gymnast since age six. Since 1998, she’s coached gymnastics at the El Dorado and Northwest Ys and Sunrise Gymnastics. Before joining the Andover Y team, she had team members medal at local, state and national competitions. Shannon holds a Bachelor’s in Liberal Arts with an emphasis on Psychology from Wichita State University. She’s also received certifications in Personal Training, USAG Safety, CPR, AED, First Aid and O2

Matt grew up in Derby, Kansas and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Recreation from Emporia State University. He has worked at 5 different locations for the Greater Wichita YMCA for 8 years, and has been in Andover for the past 3 years. He holds a US Soccer Federation F-Coaching License and is a registered KSHSAA registered sports official. He has an 8 year old daughter, Harper, who has grown up in YMCA sports and plays in Andover Y leagues to this day. 

Shelbi grew up in Derby, Kansas where she worked her first lifeguarding job at Rock River Rapids Aquatic Park. She holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from Wichita State University. She has over eight years of experience in aquatics and holds certifications in both YMCA and Red Cross lifesaving skills. Since beginning her first job as a lifeguard, she has worked as a water fitness instructor, lifeguard instructor, and water park manager for the Derby Recreation Commission. Shelbi transitioned into a career with the YMCA in March of 2017 when she became a lifeguard at the East YMCA in Wichita. Since then she has gained experience as a Member Services Associate and Swim Instructor. She joined the team at the Andover YMCA in December 2017. She is excited to live the mission of making aquatic environments safer at the Andover YMCA.

Al’s years of aquatic experience includes coaching student-athletes of all levels, including younger age groups, NCAA Division III All-Americans, and USA Paralympians.  His coaching accomplishments include being a multiple finalist and winner of Oregon Coach of the Year, and three-time Northwest Conference Coach of the Year while at Willamette University.

Amy Hill began her career with Greater Wichita YMCA in January 2006 where she gained experience working as the East YMCA Youth and Family Coordinator before coming to the Andover YMCA in 2009 as Youth & Family Coordinator. In August of 2017 Amy was promoted to Youth and Family Director.  She has a B.S. from Wichita State University and oversees the Kid Zone, Mom's Day Out Program, Birthday Parties, and Dance and Cheer.

Kristen Daniels holds a Bachelor’s in Marketing from Pittsburg State University. She started her Y career in Nebraska as a Group Exercise Instructor before moving to Andover in 2007. Kristin holds certifications in Foundations of Group Exercise, Cardio and Step, Pilates, Personal Training, Reebok Cycling, Muscle Pump, Body Design, Ultimate Strength and Cardio, Gliding, Foam Roller Fusion, Silver Sneakers and Johnny G Spinning.  Kristen is also certified in CPR, AED and First Aid.

Bachelor’s Degrees from Kansas State University in Kinesiology and Human Nutrition

Certifications: ACSM  EP-C, ACSM CPT YMCA Personal Trainer, and Pilates

Specialties: Active Older Adults, Special Populations, Weight Loss, and Pre and Post Natal

Fitness Mission Statement: “Everyone measures progress differently, and my goal is to do whatever I can to help someone see progress based on how they measure it. That can be general health, weight loss, injury rehab, disease control or prevention, or anything that makes them feel better physically and mentally. The biggest reward of my job is helping someone increase his/her quality of life.”
