Josh holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sport Administration from Wichita State University.  He started his YMCA career in Wichita, Kansas as an intern in the Sports Office in March of 2001 at the East Branch YMCA.  By August of 2001, Josh was promoted to Sports Director and served in that role until May of 2005 when he became the Executive Director of the East Branch YMCA.  While serving in this role, he was also responsible for leading the associations sports quality team and continued in that capacity while he was in Wichita.  In July of 2009, Josh became the Executive Director of the North YMCA and served in that role until March of 2012 when he was extended an offer to become a Group Vice President for the YMCA of Greater Omaha, Nebraska.  While serving in Nebraska, Josh was responsible for turning the Sarpy YMCA around that was financially negative while also leading the Association’s strongest branch and leading the associations sports branch.  Upon leaving in January of 2014, the Sarpy YMCA was the second best Y in the association and youth sports grew over prior year for the first time in seven years.  In January of 2014, Josh received an opportunity to come home and be a part of leading and serving in the role of Director of Sports Initiatives for the Greater Wichita YMCA with the goal of serving 40,000 participants by the year 2020. In addition to his role as Director of Sports Intiatives, Josh accepted the positions as Vice President of Programs in April of 2016 and the Northwest YMCA Branch Director in February of 2017. 

Jennifer graduated from Maize High School and holds a BA in Art from Newman University. She is a Certified Instructor, Certified Junior Olympic Team coach through USA Gymnastics, and a Level 7/8 rated USA Gymnastics Judge.   Jennifer has been a part of the NW YMCA since it opened in 2006.  She has been the Gymnastics Director, the Head Gymnastics Coach, Senior Program Director of Sports Citywide, and now Senior Program Director of Competitive Teams here at Northwest. 


Jacob started his career at the YMCA in 2011 as a part-time lifeguard at the Northwest branch after moving to Wichita from Southwest Kansas to finish his degree in Exercise Science at Wichita State University. During his career with the Y he has also taught swim lessons and worked at the Climbing Wall. In late 2012 he moved to the Membership Desk were he has worked under a multitude of titles until becoming Membership Director in May of 2015.  

Hydi has studied various forms of dance including: ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, pointe, modern, lyrical, and musical theatre, and has performed with many prestigious ballet companies. She attended Lindenwood University and was a dance major, and has choreographed many routines for her school’s cheer team and dance team. Hydi was also the choreographer for many area high school musicals including: Annie, The Music Man, 42nd Street, and The Wizard of Oz. Hydi has been with the Northwest YMCA since 2007 and began the competitive dance (Limelight Dance Company) and cheer (Storm Cheer) teams in 2008. Both teams have won numerous National titles and judge’s awards.

Beth has been a Lifeguard for 30 years and has been a Lifeguard Trainer for the past 25 years.  She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Management from Virginia Intermont College in Bristol, Virginia.  Beth was the Aquatic Director at the Jewish Community Center in Cincinnati before moving to Wichita.  She taught the lifeguard training class at the South Y, as well as swim lessons and arthritis water classes.  She became the Aquatic Coordinator at the West Y, before again moving to Augusta Georgia where she continued to teach lifeguarding and coach swim team.  Her last move was back to Wichita, where she has been training lifeguards, as well as certifying people in CPR, AED, O2 and First Aid.  

Holly holds a Master’s Degree in Education from Wichita State University and a Bachelor's degree in Community Health Education from Western Michigan University. Holly began her career with the Greater Wichita YMCA as a healthy eating instructor for Community Development in 2013. She started as the Youth and Family Coordinator in 2013 at the Northwest branch and now oversees various departments and youth programs, such as Climbing Wall, Martial Arts, Kid Zone, Mom’s Day Out, among others. She holds various certifications including lifeguard and belay and top rope certifications. 

Scott holds a BA in Sport Management from Wichita State University.  He has over 25 years of experience involved in organized sports, extensively but not limited to baseball.  He serves on the board for a local NBC baseball team, Kansas Canons.  After completing his internship as Facility and Operations intern at the South Farha Sports Center, Scott become the Sport Director at the East YMCA before transitioning to Northwest.

Jeannie’s passion for group exercise started as a Y member in 1987. Three years later, she began teaching classes, and has taught at the West, South, Downtown and Northwest YMCAs since then. Jeannie teaches a wide variety of group exercise classes and holds certifications in Water Fitness, Step, Turbo Kick, Martial Arts, ZUMBA, Cycle, Pilates, CPR, AED, First Aid and O2.

Tina joined the Northwest YMCA fitness staff in November of 2013 as the Fitness Service Associate. She previously worked for the Northwest YMCA in the aquatics department as a lead guard and swimming coach for 4 years and now serves as our Youth Wellness Coordinator and Assistant Fitness Director. She holds certifications in CPR/AED and is a certified YMCA personal trainer.  

Caroline comes to the Northwest YMCA after serving as an Assistant Account Executive for the Oklahoma based advertising agency, Brothers & Company. There, she serviced such clients as Fidelity Bank, Invista, Mossy Oak and Hunters Specialties. Prior to working at BroCo, Caroline briefly served as a Project Manager at Armstrong Chamberlin. She has a BA in Communications with an emphasis in Integrated Marketing Communications from Wichita State University. During college, Caroline was a Marketing Intern for the Wichita State Athletic department for three years. She is CPR, AED, 02 and first aid certified. 

Elizabeth has an accumulated nine years of coaching competitive and recreational gymnastics experience. She comes to the Northwest Branch after completing her Bachelor of Science in Biology Pre-Occupational Therapy from Fort Hays State University. Elizabeth has been with Northwest for a year and a half, recently being promoted to Gymnastics and Cheer Director and Head Coach of the competitive Gymnastics team the "Saltos". She's a Certified Junior Olympic team coach through USA Gymnastics, a certified team coach through AAU Gymnastics and had state and national champions in the 2016-2017 season.

Ginnie joined the Northwest YMCA Team in 2015. She helps with the Strong Community Campaign as well as daily functions at the Branch. She is an active community volunteer organizations such as the Sedgwick County Zoo, Exploration Place and Wichita Asian Association.

Natalie joined the Northwest YMCA in 2015 as a swim lesson instructor and became the full time Coordinator in 2017. She has been teaching swim lessons for over 10 years and has been helping coach the Sedgwick County Thundercats Special Olympics swim team since 2016. Natalie is a Certified Lifeguard and has an undergraduate degree in Communications and a Masters in Special Education from Texas State University- San Marcos. 



Nate has been with the Northwest YMCA for two years. He has a B.G.S. in Psychology from Wichita State University, is a trained massage therapist and a certified nursing assistant. Previously, Nate has vast experience in the health and retail fields and prior to becoming head coach was the Head Age Group Coach and Assistant Coach for the Neptunes Swim Team. He was a     Scholarship Swimmer for the University of Wyoming and in High School was a N.I.S.C.A. High School All-American in the 100 Butterfly (1998) and a Kansas High School 6A State Champion in 100 Butterfly (1997). Nate has one son, Jack.
