GREATER WICHITA YMCA

Impacted by the Partial Federal Government Shutdown?

GREATER WICHITA YMCA TO HELP THOSE IMPACTED BY GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN

WICHITA, KANSAS (January 16, 2019) - - The Greater Wichita YMCA will be offering assistance to area federal workers impacted by the government shutdown. All federal workers affected by the shutdown can bring their government issued identification cards to any of the Greater Wichita YMCA’s nine locations to have their membership fees waived for one month.

“This is a scary and stressful time for all those affected. We want our friends in the community to know we are here for them,” said YMCA President and CEO Ronn McMahon. “When the unexpected happens, it’s important that we stick together as a community to keep healthy, mentally and physically.”

For those not affected by the government shutdown but enduring hardships, the Greater Wichita YMCA offers assistance.

Applications can be processed at any Greater Wichita YMCA location.
