With me having Asthma most of my adult life, the extra weight did not help and made life more difficult. I took a class last year for pre-diabetics when it was offered on-site at my employer through the partnership with the YMCA. I learned a lot about how to read labels, healthier food alternatives, and all around eating habits. With that information and watching my calorie intake, I have dropped a total of 45 pounds in a year. Now that my asthma is better under control, I plan to get more exercise in my routine to lose even more weight. I don't have a specific amount I want to lose; its really about being healthier.
This is me zip-lining - something I've always wanted to do but wasn't able to the previous year because I weighed too much. I was so ecstatic that I was able to lose enough weight to do it this year on the cruise I took!
