Child development and early learning centers provide a nurturing environment where kids make friends, activate their imaginations and have fun.
The Y is the largest provider of child care in the Greater Wichita area. We're a safe place for your kids to learn, grow, and play. And we turn no one away due to inability to pay. We offer income-based financial assistance for child care services, made possible by the YMCA Annual Campaign and United Way of the Plains support. When kids are in Y classrooms, every activity is designed to inspire their creative, intellectual, physical and social development, following Kansas Early Learning Standards. They receive nourishing food with fresh fruits or vegetables and whole grains served daily. In addition, kids feel connected and supported in trying new things, and parents receive care and reinforcement from YMCA’s licensed teachers.
